Galatians 1 (Bible Study)
Galatians 1:1-24
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. I would they were even cut off which trouble you. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians kept looking to another gospel they were quick in turning to another gospel. Paul stated that if anyone preaches a different Gospel within the church to ban them from the church. Paul stressed that twice in verse 8 and 9. The Galatia church was allowing other gospels (false gospels) to be preached in their church.
Paul stressed that his was the true gospel because of his testimony. Paul was zealous for mans ways. He figured he was doing the right thing by following the law and abiding by it because of the tradition it had. Some of us stick to traditions and feel that it is the right way. “We do it because we have always done it.” When Paul got saved he no longer wanted to walk in the path of man or his flesh he wanted to follow God’s ways.
Those of us that know we are saved we have a change in our life that sticks. We do still fail but we go right back at it and walk with God again. We don’t turn around and go back to the person we were before. When you get saved there is a change. The Holy Spirit takes up residence in your life and provides you with the fruits of the spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(Galatians 5:22-23)
Inward Character (self)
Love, Joy and Peace.
Outward Character (man)
Longsuffering, Gentleness and goodness.
Upward Character (God)
Faith, meekness and temperance.
Paul swore before God that the things that he was telling the Galatians were true! (vs 20) That means he knew it was the truth!
When Paul got saved He went back to those he persecuted and they saw the change in him. He made a public testimony to his faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brother of Marine killed in Iraq takes own life.
Peninsula Daily News, Port Angeles, WA Dated Nov 10-11, 2006FORKS - Jacob Hanson's big bother: Marine Lance Cpl. Jason Hanson, 21, and three other Marines, were killed July 29 in Iraq.A suicide bomber drove a vehicle loaded with explosives into a building near a checkpoint to their base.Jacob and Jason's parents, Carol and Stephen Hansson, didn't want Jacob to hear about his brother's death through the small town grapevine.Carol went to tell him.She pulled Jacob outside from his cooking job at the In Place in Forks, and quietly told him.Jacob broke down crying - then punched a trash can so hard that he broke his hand.Later, Jacob took to wearing his brother's dog tags."He didn't know what to do. He couldn't fix it," Carol said Thursday."I think he got lost in the sadness."Last Sunday, November 5, Jacob took his own life.He was 19 and had just started a job with a logging company, his mother said."I can't see my life beyong this day, beyond this next detail - I have to take my life in tiny pieces right now," his mother said."He was a kid, and he was my friend."Her husband, Stephen, said only that "we've been through this before" before passing the telephone to his wife.A memorial service for Jacob is scheduled for noon Saturday at the Performing Arts Center at Forks High School."It's too tiny of a town, and too big of hearts live here" to turn anyone away, Carol said.Jacob like skatboarding, but he also had a creative side and enjoyed drawing and whipping up gourmet meals.

Guard Reserve Job Discrimination
I have been in the reserves now for about 5 years and there is not a time in my civillian life that during an interview I was asked if I was going to get called up. The law states that they cannot discriminate based on that but yet companies still ask. There needs to be something done about this! If you have ever been in this situation or if you have ever delt with this the first thing to do is to contact ESGR! These people act immediately and will contact the employer and throw the book at them. Second thing is let others know about this company! I am going to add a special location on my forum to add these companies to. They need to be exposed for who they are. If you have another comapy that supports our guardsmen plese post them in the other section.

Overwelmed
I believe with all my heart that God has chosen me to help support the troops overseas and where ever they may be. This is a very large task that only through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ can it be accomplished. I am praying that God will put people in my life with the same heart and the same vision right now. There are Troops that are not recieving one piece of mail from anyone that are sacrificing their lives! Today I read from some one that a chow hall burnt down to the ground and they are hurting for help like food microwaves and many other things. There are soldiers that are unable to send any sort of information home to their familes because of the situations they are in. I am so overwelmed with emotion right now because or what I have read over the internet in some of the support groups from people whos loved ones have been deployed. Deployment effects not just the soldier but also the familes and friends and aquatances that they know. It effects them in a very deep rooted way. So deep that only God and his saving grace and mercy and power can heal. As Veterans day approaches no matter how long they served or what they did in the military thank them and show them you care by a card a gift or even just a simple hug. It makes me sick to the core that I see organizations protest veteran burials as well as veteran functions. They sit there an riticule those of us that serve now or have served and they are not even greatful that they are able to sleep another night with peace. That they are able to even protest and speak the things they speak. They are able to worship in a church of their choice. They can walk down a street without having to wear certain clothes. It makes me sick. You know what they can go ahead and do that because I know they can do that because I am serving my country just so they can have those freedoms. Soldier I dont care what these other people say or do. I am right there beside you and I am on my knees pouring my heart out to the Lord to bring you home safe and that no one soldier where ever they are is left behind no matter what rnk what color or nationality or any differences you and I have!
America our soldiers are in harms way while you sleep. Some will not see tomorrow! Make a difference and support a soldier and tell them you love them and that you are praying for them. Put it on my forum sign up and get involved. I am but one person now striving to make a difference and to let my brothers and sisters in the armed forces know that I support them 110%

Spouses of loved ones that are deployed if you have any needs email me and I will do my best and use whatever resources I can to help out. Some of you are asking how I am going to do that? I serve a large God one that payed the penilty of my sins and yours so we didnt have to spend an eternity in hell. Philippians 4:13 states that I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me. I know God will put the right people that I need to accomplish this vision I have and to touch every soldier with the love of Jesus Christ and his Glorious Gospel.
